Monthly report for oil supply issued by Energy Information Administration on Friday indicated that oil production and demand for it in the United States rose to their highest levels since the beginning of the year in April.
Total crude oil production from US fields rose by 72,000 barrels per day every month to 13.25 million barrels per day in April, the highest level since December 2023.
Oil demand - measured by finished products supplied to the market - rose to 20 million barrels per day in April, an increase of 131 thousand barrels per day from March, which is also the highest level since the beginning of this year.
According to monthly data, the number of barrels of crude oil produced fell to 397.43 million in April from 408.45 million in March.
